These are general terms for using Chris Anderson Studios (“we,” “us”). They have not been reviewed by an attorney and will be expanded over time. By browsing or purchasing from this site, you agree to these terms.
What We Sell
We sell usage licenses to original coastal video and photo footage — not ownership of the footage itself. Each license grants specific, limited rights described on the video's own page and in the license agreement you accept at checkout. See our FAQ for common licensing questions.
Accounts and Purchases
You don't need an account to buy — a valid email is enough to complete checkout as a guest. You're responsible for providing accurate licensee/company information, since it becomes part of your legal license record.
Payment
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Some licenses (like Paid Social Advertising) bill on a recurring monthly basis while active; you can see exactly what you're authorizing before you pay.
Refunds
Our refund policy for digital downloads is still being finalized. If you have a question about a specific order, contact Support and we'll work it out with you directly.
Ownership
Chris Anderson Studios owns all right, title, and interest in the footage. Purchasing a license doesn't transfer ownership or any rights beyond what your specific license describes. Any use outside your license requires a separate agreement.
Acceptable Use
Don't use the site to attempt fraud, circumvent licensing terms, or access footage or accounts that aren't yours.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the site grows. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page. Your own order keeps the exact license terms you accepted at checkout, regardless of later changes here.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Orange County, California.
